Our state-of-the-art facilities

The Florida Therapy Centers are large, open, state-of-the art comprehensive clinics and ADA compliant. Stringent requirements for Medicare certification and state certification have been met in order to provide this greater access to high quality rehabilitation services.

The Florida Therapy Center is one of the only practices in Florida to utilize state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment such as the Pneumex Unweighting System, and we feel it is one of the most beneficial and comprehensive equipment pieces we have on-site. The Pneumex unit reduces the amount of weight-bearing through the patient's lower extremities, which greatly assists in the rehabilitation of painful joints and injuries. The client is placed in a comfortable harness that prevents them from falling during all facets of their gait and balance program. Unlike aquatic therapy, the unweighting system allows adjustable degrees of weight bearing. During treatment, the client can be sitting, walking or running on a treadmill, or be involved in balance activities. Unweighting is very effective in treating acute/chronic back pain, gait, balance, and coordination disorders, and transitions the patient into a cardiovascular exercise program without the risk of falling.

Patient Convenience

The Florida Therapy Center is one of the only clinics in Brevard uniquely certified to combine different therapy disciplines to treat more than one diagnosis at once. This convenience eliminates the need for patients to drive to multiple clinics or experience delays to get the treatments they need. Waiting times are shorter at the Florida Therapy Center and a patient is normally scheduled for therapy within 48 hours of seeing their doctor.

In order to maintain the highest level of care, the Florida Therapy Center employs only certified and highly experienced Physical, Occupational, Respiratory, and Speech therapists. Your care will not be handed off to aids or techs. In order to maintain continuity of care and promote progress of healing, you will be evaluated and receive care from the same therapist each treatment. This personal attention is critical in assuring that each patient receives the appropriate care in order to achieve excellent results.

Our dedicated team of multidisciplinary specialists includes professional therapists, clinicians and social workers to provide direct patient care. The Florida Therapy Center is required by law to contract the services of local physicians to serve as Medical Directors. The Medical Director reviews practices and procedures, consults with staff, reviews the individual treatment plans, and monitors the progress to ensure patients receive medically necessary rehabilitation services.
